SLEEP SIGNAL
Sleep and Appetite
Sleep, eating patterns and metabolism interact. Avoid reducing that complex relationship to a single supplement promise.
The evidence in context
NIH resources describe sleep as important to metabolism and report associations between inadequate sleep, excess body weight and metabolic changes. These relationships are complex and do not prove that a particular supplement produces weight loss.
Avoid the shortcut claim
Health-product marketing should not leap from a plausible biological mechanism to a promised outcome. The FTC says objective health claims should be truthful, non-misleading and appropriately substantiated.
